Founder, Payday

Favour, a software engineer and serial entrepreneur, has always been passionate about empowering Africa and leveraging technology for growth.

Favour launched Payday in 2021 and secured over $2 million in funding from several investors including LoftyInc, Microtraction, Magic Fund, and Ventures Platform. Payday facilitates sending and receiving money globally in seconds, creating virtual Mastercards that work anywhere online, and investing in crypto with as little as $1. Within its first three weeks, Payday had over 5,000 users — many of whom came through word-of-mouth referrals— and successfully processed $1.4 million in transactions. In October 2021, Payday got accepted into the prestigious Techstars accelerator program.

In 2018, Favour launched his IBM Canada-backed mentorship program, FavCode54, with the single mission of empowering Africans to launch their tech careers. With the help and support of IBM’s resources and senior leadership, FavCode successfully trained over 11,000 Africans globally, many of whom have gained employment at global startups or launched their independent tech ventures.

Favour also launched, College Situation, a platform that connects African students to funding opportunities and fellowship programs in countries like Canada, United Kingdom, and the United States. It was sold to ABiTNetwork.
