10 finalists will be invited to pitch their business ideas

10 finalists will be invited to pitch their business in front of over 1,000 attendees and will receive feedback from a panel of experienced judges.

3 winners will be awarded cash prizes.

The competition winner, runner-up, and third-place startup will be awarded cash prizes of $12,000, $7,000, and $3,000 respectively.

Solar Freeze

Solar Freeze provides small scale farmers of perishable produce, access to portable solar powered cold storage through Pay-as You-Grow.

Sundial Brands Community Commerce

Sundial Brands’ model, with a focus on community empowerment, creates opportunities for sustainable social and economic empowerment throughout its supply chain within communities in the United States, Africa and beyond. NVC will use Sundial Brands’ sponsorship to help highlight community-focused ventures and reward ventures which use their business models to create opportunities for financially excluded persons, or that are helping to improve the ecosystem for broad-based entrepreneurship in Africa.

Harambeans Harvard Prize

Award - $2,500 Prize & $100,000 Investment

Harambeans are African innovators who have pledged to "work to together as one" to unlock the potential of Africa.

The winner of the Harambeans Harvard Prize will gain admission to the 15th class of Harambeans and receive a $2,500 prize.
