Mamello Selamolela
Mamello is a seasoned telco and fintech strategy executive who was, until recently, Vodacom’s Managing Executive for Group Strategy and Innovation. In this role, Mamello led Strategy and Innovation for all Vodacom/Vodafone operations across Sub-Saharan Africa, working with an exceptional team to ensure that Vodacom remains at the forefront of innovation as a world class Technology Company.
Prior to this role, Mamello was the Managing Executive for the Central Region, leading Vodacom’s operations in Free State and Northern Cape, South Africa. She has held a number of senior roles in telecoms, an industry she joined in 2015, following a long career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in South Africa and the UK.
Mamello is the Chair of the Industry Advisory Panel at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa. She had also served on several boards as a non-executive director.
Mamello holds Honours and Master’s Degrees in Finance & Economics from the University of Cape Town and an MBA (with Distinction) from London Business School.
